Emerging technologies with various apps can be used to tame the “VOODOO” in HAZMAT.      Using the BUXUS Pipeline App natural gas distribution and pipeline incidents will be discussed using an “expect fire and expect victim’s approach.” Augmented reality scenarios for HAZMAT training or dill will be used to provide visual cues and clues for decision making in HAZMAT response that cannot be replicated with training ground props. Railroad emergencies and the use of the ASKRail app will also be presented. Use of CAMEO Chemicals and the DECON Field guide round out the decision-making apps for effective preplanning and response.
