Fire Service Improvement Hands On Training Conference
When firefighters from around the state come together to train, share experiences, network, and fellowship, amazing things happen.
Nearly everyone has heard “you can’t train enough for a job that can kill you” and it’s true. The time and effort you put into training for the different scenarios you face can save a life. It is our hope that the hands-on-training offered at Fire Service Improvement Conference prepared you for those situations. While practice may not make perfect, it makes progress, and you owe it to yourself and your community to work to get better every day.
Registration for Fire Service Improvement Conference will open at 8:00 AM October 1, 2026.
Class size is limited. There will not be a waiting list once filled.
Members of the SC State Firefighters’ Association will have preference over non-members when registering for classes.
Each class has specific requirements for PPE and prerequisites.

All class times are 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
If registering for one of the 4 hands-on classes at the SC State Fire Academy, a signed SC State Fire Liability Form must be uploaded during the registration process. This form will require your fire chief’s signature or designee. To download the form, CLICK HERE. All other classes do not require this form.
