In this class we will discuss all types of Electric Vehicles, from electric scooters to Commercial EV trucks. We will learn steps to secure, extinguish and mitigate the dangers in dealing with these vehicles. We will also discuss the growing market of Battery Storage Systems in homes, Solar charging systems and the hazards they present. Research data and examples will be provided on this growing industry and dangers involved with them.

I have been in the fire service for over 30 years. I have been educating firefighters for over 22 years. I have always been a proponent of educating the fire service and being proactive instead of reactive. I have done extensive research in Electric Vehicles, lithium batteries and emerging technology in this field. I am passionate in keeping firefighters safe and educating them to be intelligent and effective first responders.
