Josh Fulbright
Thursday, June 11, 2026
10:45 AM – 12:15 PM
In January 2026, South Carolina and the nation transitioned from the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) after 50 years to the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS). From onboarding, to verification, to active reporting, we’ve navigated the transition. Join us to hear our collective progress and learn about current tools. Together, we recognize data remains a powerful tool for firefighter safety, accountability to our stakeholders, justification of our needs, and to drive the community risk reduction process for our future. NERIS is being built and modified in motion, so changes have happened and updates are planned to better capture responses. This presentation will share current modifications and known plans, while providing time for discussion then welcoming feedback to share with our national partners.
