Fire Officer Leadership – Firehouse to the Fireground

Leadership in the fire service doesn’t stop at the front door of the firehouse, and it doesn’t begin when the tones drop—it’s continuous. A fire officer sets the tone in the station, on the training ground, and at the curb of a working fire. The way we handle conversations around the kitchen table influences how our crews perform when the pressure is on. This class connects the dots between firehouse leadership, culture, and performance on the fireground.

We will look at the officer’s role as a culture-builder, teacher, and decision-maker. Attendees will walk away with practical tools for leading people in everyday moments, then applying that influence when it counts most—during fast-moving incidents where lives depend on effective and efficient fireground operations.
