You earned the promotion — now it’s time to lead.

This course is designed to help newly promoted fire officers navigate the challenges of leadership within the fire service. Whether you’re a new Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, or acting in an officer role, this class will prepare you for the realities of supervising others, making decisions under pressure, and setting the tone for your crew and company.

Chad Gill

Chad Gill is a third-generation firefighter who began his fire service career in 2006. His journey began in the suburbs of Buffalo before he was hired by a fire department in the Myrtle Beach area in 2014. He currently serves as a Captain with the North Charleston Fire Department. In addition to his role with North Charleston, Chad is an active volunteer with Horry County Fire Rescue. He is passionate about training, serving as one of the lead instructors for the Charleston County Recruit School and for the South Carolina Fire Academy. Chad is also a proud member of the Charleston Metro Fools.
