Mobile Mansion Fires. Strategy and Tactics for success on Manufactured Home Fires

Presentation begins with the history of the manufactured home, and the federal regulations and guides that is associated with their construction. Students will be able to determine the difference between a modular and a manufactured home. A description of the building, construction, materials, and building methods as it involves the different climate and wind zones. The presentation has several ends of the videos that are short but puts all that information together. Lastly, the presentation breaks down special considerations for Fire Grand success as it relates to engine Company operations, support company, initial size up and command, and lastly, rapid intervention considerations.

Michael Noreck

Michael Noreck has over 20 years of experience in the profession of fire rescue and EMS. He currently serves as a Battalion Chief in the Operations of Horry County Fire Rescue and EMS. During his career, Michael has worked on ambulances, engine, and support companies. Most of his career has been within the special operations of his department.  His goal is to positively impact the culture of the fire service community by having positive interactions and encouraging the brotherhood to uphold the oath.  He also serves as the Training Chair for the Saltwater FOOLS chapter.
