B.O.S.S. Is A Four-Letter Word – Bully. Overbearing. Self-centered. Stubborn and resistant to new ideas. Do these words describe the person supervising you? Or might they describe your own actions as a supervisor? Studies show you spend more time with your supervisor and co-workers than you do with your spouse and children. Since we all have enough stress to deal with on the emergency scene, why would we want to work in an environment where unnecessary stress is created because of poorly trained and inept leaders? During this presentation, you will quickly be able to identify the differences between the two and understand why it is critical to eliminate bosses and replace them with leaders: people who recognize the importance of serving those they supervise.
